Carambola: Properties and Benefits

The tree of the carambola, Carambola Averrhoa scientific name, is an evergreen belonging to the family of Oxalidaceae that can reach 10 meters in height and is native to tropical Asia; the fruit of the carambola is yellow in color and has a section in the shape of five-pointed star.

The fruit has a thin skin that does not need to be removed in order to be consumed; the taste has a special flavor with nuances reminiscent of pineapple and lemon.
